This year our family participated in the SandCastle contest at Cannon Beach, Oregon. We have never done this before so we were too sure what we need or what we were in for. :)
It was a lot of fun!!! Definitely a unique experience. The sandcastles creator by the masters were incredible. We did alright too! My daughter and her friend made a dragon and won 2nd place for the teenage group. My group didn't win anything but particpating and hearing all the comments and enjoyment was enough. I do have to say that when our time was almost up the crowd was so huge that you felt a bit intimidated. I have never done artwork in front of people. It was a good and challenging experience. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun. I think we will do it again :)
