Crazy weather ... there's more to come !!!
You guys this weather is just nuts for Oregon!Oregon generally doesn't get snow like this!
Rain YES! Snow NO!
We might get snow a couple times a year. Most Oregonians get rather excited to see snow. We marvel in it's beauty but freak out when it comes to driving it it because we just don't do it that often. So it's absolutely crazy that the kids have been out of school for a week now, we have 11 inches of snow here at Meadow View Farm and there is another 6+ inches of snow yet to come. This weekend it suppose to be the worst storm yet. It hasn't stopped snowing!!
Below are a few photos from today. I need to go back out to finsih up in the barn in case we lose power. If I get a chance I will try to take some more photos and upload them for you to see. With any luck I might actually get out in the snow and see if I can make a horse scuplture :-)

The icicles are long but check out the snow hanging off the barn

Today is beautiful !!!
Today we have blue skies and it's warmed up for a short while to 38 degrees.
The next couple days it's suppose to be down in the 20's.

White ... White ... and more WHITE!
This storm continues to come down on the Northwest. Our lows have been down to 12 degrees the last few days not including wind chill. Highs have been in the 20's and 30's. Today it has been snowing here since about 6:30 a.m. with no end in sight. I think we have another 5 -6 inches on the ground just from today.

It sure is beautiful!
We may even get a White Christmas in Oregon this year!

Let's play ... huh?

I think it reminds him of when he was a foal up in Canada.

His owner, Tami, says he is already 13.2 h.h. to his wither and 14.1 h.h. to the top of his haunches at just under 10 months old. He well on his way to hitting 16 hands.

Keep a watch out for him at shows in 2009. She already has some lined up for him.

Nala

This is Nala my cat at our farm. She is about a year and half old. She goes with me to every feeding, watches over while I video tape, take photos or whatever. She just like hanging out with me in the barn.
I found her at our vet clinic. She was a stray that was brought in that they adopted out to me. I absolutely love her unique coloring. I am still intrigue with the mixture of tabby and calico. I seem to find a new marking on her all the time.
Hope you find her an unique as I do.
Her other feline friends on the farm are Tigger - orange tabby, and Twilight - Himalayan mix.

Leonti is settling in with his new family!

Today we delivered Leo to his new family. He was absolutely awesome. I was a very proud breeder and Mom. Unfortunately we have been so busy that Leo has had a lot of work done with him. He had not loaded or seen a trailer until today. He walked right out, took a look and walked right in. He rode in the trailer beautifully to. When we arrived at his new home he was a calm, cool cucumber :) He had a tiny bit of trouble figuring out there was a drop from the trailer but other than that he was quiet and walk right in to his new stall. Quite the trooper for his first time away from the farm.
His new family was extremely excited to see him arrive. He is going to have TONS of attention, love and kisses. He went to a GREAT home. :-)
CONGRATULATIONS
