Hunting by Moonlight (aka Comet)

2005 Buckskin Oldenburg/QH Gelding
Hero Bound (Hall of Fame) x Luminare

Owned by Nautique Simpson

Below are a few comment from Lara, Nautique's mom.

"I just wanted you to know that Comet is in training right now ... he is with Alisha, Nautique's trainer that worked for Ken McNabb and is an apprentice of Ken. He trained under John Lyons, so that is the style of training methods she isusing. Alisha said he is coming along.

The owners of the barn where Alisha works are really into dressage. So ... that riding style will be promoted. Jumping will come later. Nautique is on the High School Equestrian Team this year and the goal is to show him in dressage at least."

A Special 'THANK YOU' to my guest blogger!

Thank you Tami for helping keep the blog going. I hope you will continue to nudge me to keep things going and help me from time to time. :) You are awesome!

The Guest Blogger Returns...

So, Monique continues to be Super Mom and I continue to be ho-hum at work, so here's some more.

**Andretti** Oh, what a darling story from his new owner:

So I walk outside around 7ish in the evening and I see Bella and Pashmina staring out over the pasture, looking like they have seen a ghost. I walk over thinking that there are some deer in West paddock again.... NOPE. There's a huge hot-air balloon flying EXTREMELY LOW just past our property line. I think it was heading in for a landing in one of the fields adjacent to our land but the corn field blocked the view.

Bella: Oh my god... OH MY GOD!!! WHAT IS THAT THING!!!!???? PASHMINA!!! WE MUST RUN BACK AND FORTH SO IT DOESN'T EAT US!!!!

Angel: WTF? I MUST RUN TOO! The sight of this terrifying sky creature makes me poop in fear!

Andretti: OH MY GOD! This hay is delicious. Tra la la. What balloon???

Guest Blogger...

I keep bugging Monique to update her "News!!" because I love reading it, I know I'm not the only one! She is super busy being Super Mom, so here I am helping out!

*Giovanni MVF* is for Sale! Boy, does he look HOT going over fences. See his ad on Dreamhorse:http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse.php?form_horse_id=1446509&share_this=Y_horse.php?form_horse_id=1446509&share_this=Y It's a testimony to MVF's breeding program, both mare and stallion selection. This is a nice gelding, both in personality and substance!!!

*Champs Guthrie* Champs 2010 foal is already winning...sort of! Smokin Doubledutch won Champion Novice Handler and split the Champion Driving while seven months pregnant! We also discovered that she is Homozygous black. That's one color knocked out! Now we need to hope for Pinto and Silver!!!
((Can you see the baby bump???))

*Gridiron MVF* Like father like son! Dyson has become the resident "Weaner" at Cowboy Jerry's Horses. Their Arabian colt, HA IRAJA was recently weaned and Dyson took over as surrogate. Monique tells me that Guthrie is also a good "Weaner". What a great gift to pass on!

I hear there's updates about Montana, Leo and others! Let's hear it! Cheers, Tami Platt (Gridiron MVF's owner)
